Zhen Meng is a PhD Candidate in Sloan Automotive Laboratory in the Department of Mechanical Engineering working on piston lubrication in internal combustion engines. He received Master’s degree from MIT, and Bachelor’s degree from Tsinghua University. Zhen is interested in quantitative research, autonomous driving, and poker.
Ji Zhao is a postdoctoral associate in Department of Materials Science and Engineering at MIT. He got his bacholar degree of engineering in Tsinghua University and PhD in Chemistry in Chinese Academy of Sciences. He also has two years postdoctoral research exprience with Prof Allen Bard in UT Austin. His research is about electrochemical energy material and devices, particularly non-lithium batteries and ultra thin silicon solar cells. He is also a mature soccer player and salsa dancer.
Yifeng Che is a PhD candidate in Nuclear Engineering at MIT working on sensitivity analysis and uncertainty quantification in fuel performance modeling. She got her Bachelor’s degree from University of Science and Technology of China. She is interested in quantitative research and badminton.
Tao is currently a postdoctoral associate in the Department of Chemical Engineering at MIT. His research focuses on electrochemical systems for energy and environmental applications. One major part of his research is examining energy storage devices (batteries, supercapacitors) at micro (materials), meso (transport) and macro (system) levels. Currently, he is studying the kinetics of graphite anode to make 10 mins battery charging possible. In his spare time, he enjoys movies, hiking, cooking and skiing.
Wendi currently works as a Scientific Associate II in Oncology at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research. Her work focuses on cancer drug discovery engaging the immune system through bispecific antibody modality. Wendi obtained her MS in Pharmacology and Drug Development from Tufts School of Medicine and holds a BS in Cellular and Molecular Biology from University of Michigan. In her spare time, Wendi enjoys reading, meeting new people, and sharing ideas.
Xuan is currently a full-time data scientist at PTC. He finished his Bachelor's degree in Beijing Univ. of Posts and Telecom. And then joined a data mining startup working on social networks which was acquired by a top 3 marketing company in China. He got his Master’s degree at Northeastern Univ. in Computer Science. His has great interest in AI. And he is also a big fan of Physics, Chinese traditional culture, art.
Peiran is a UX Design Researcher at MIT Design Lab. She is currently pursuing her Master of Computer Science degree in Northeastern University. She holds a Master of Advanced Architectural Design degree from Columbia University and a bachelor of Architecture degree from Tsinghua University.
Haoming Fu is pursuing a master in Design Studies degree at Harvard. His academic interest now is to explore the changing meanings of public architecture in certain region over time. He is now working as a strategy investment intern in a China unicorn company. His previous experience focuses on strategy consulting and securities industry.
Shuqian Huang obtained her master degree in Technopreneurship & Innovation at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore and Co-curricular at Stanford University. She is passionate about Technopreneurship & Innovation, such as business plan, Entrepreneurial Marketing and Venture Capital. After graduating from NTU, she operated a social media startup in Singapore.
Yidan currently works as a Senior Data Scientist at Aetna, one of the largest health insurance companies in US. Being in the healthcare industry for a few years, she understands that the current system could be complicated for people with little health care knowledge. She is enthusiastic about leveraging innovations in data science, machine learning and predictive modeling techniques to help reimagine health care. Prior to work, she obtains her Master degree from Carnegie Mellon University majoring in Health Care Policy and Management. In her spare time, she likes reading, cooking and exploring nice restaurants in the city with friends.
Zhuoran Han is a Ph.D. Candidate in Nuclear Engineering in the Department of Nuclear Science and Engineering focusing on computational reactor physics and High Performance Computing. He received his dual Bachelor’s degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University and in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Michigan. Zhuoran is a huge fan of rock climbing and bouldering.
Zijing Wang is a master candidate at the Harvard Graduate School of Design. He got his bachelor degree of architecture in Beijing University of Technology with distinction. He has diverse working experience in different fields, such as the movie industry, historic preservation, and architectural design. His research focuses on media impact on conservation. Zijing is also a partner of PanSidong salon and a senior member of Slomo subtitle group.
Qianhui Liang is currently a Master candidate in School of Architecture and Planning at MIT. She got her Bachelor’s degree in Architecture at Tongji University. She is interested in big data analysis and visualization, urban computation, and how big data analytics and digital interactive design can inform and transform physical and spatial urban system, and human behavior.
Ming is a member of 2019-2020 MIT CEO executive committee, enthusiastic about technology commercialization and entrepreneurship in biomedical and healthcare industry. He is also a member of mentorship program organizing committee for 2019-2020. He is currently a postdoctoral research associate at the MIT-Broad Foundry of Broad Institute, working on developing unprecedented high throughput screening platform for synthetic biology, drug discovery and precision medicine. He received his BS in Chemistry and Biological Chemistry from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and his Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Stanford University.
Pan Yu is currently a master candidate in Data Analytics major at Northeastern University. She got Project Management master degree before and have 4 years work experience in physical therapy education field and chinese culture education field. She also got her Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design. She is interested in data analysis, project management, business strategic management, and entrepreneurship.
Yu is currently a Ph.D. candidate at MIT EECS. He got his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science at Yao Class, Tsinghua IIIS. He worked at Microsoft Research. Yu is interested in distributed systems, theoretical cryptography, and artificial intelligence. Yu is a board member of MIT Wuming Theatre Club.
Silvia is an undergraduate mathematics and finance combined major student at Northeastern University. She co-oped at State Street Global Market foreign exchange trading department in Boston headquarter . During her time at State Street, she also joined Asian Professional Alliance as an champion. She was also a summer intern at a top 10 Shenzhen private equity firm, which triggers her interest in venture capital, entrepreneurship, and global relations. In her spare time, she loves to play cello, painting, skiing, and golfing.
Helen is currently a master student at Harvard University, previously studied humanities at Tsinghua (Beijing) and Sciences Po (Paris). She also interned as a tech journalist and a strategy consultant and thus developed interests of TMT and education industry. Helen enjoys writing, travelling and listening to podcasts in her spare time. She is passionate about making impact through content creating and mind connecting.
Jialu is currently a Master candidate of Urban Studies and Planning at MIT. She got her Bachelor’s degree in Architecture at Tsinghua University, and Master degree in Urban Planning at Tsinghua. Jialu has great interest in urban design, urban planning, data analysis and data visualization. She would be very happy to share and discuss ideas in public space designing and also using data to help aid better decision and better understanding of city. She is also a photographer in the meantime.
Zhulin Li is currently a Ph.D. candidate at MIT Mathematics. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Institute for Interdisciplinary Information Sciences (also known as Yao Class), Tsinghua University. She has a keen interest in mathematics, algorithms, and programming. She is exploring career choices and joined MIT CEO Executive Team to connect to people from various backgrounds.
Yumeng Ren works as a web designer at MIT CEO, supporting editorial content production and marketing campaign. As a MIT CEO executive team member since 2019, she works with the design team on new webpage layouts, typography and interactive design, and standardization of editorial posting templates. Studying journalism at Northeastern University, she is a multimedia journalist and designer, whose articles and design works have been published on The Global Investigative Reporting Network, TechTarget.com, Storybench, Ruggles Media, The Boston24 Magazine and The Scope.

Yue Guan is currently a Ph.D. Candidate at MIT. Yue’s research focuses on data-driven optimization and demand forecast of ridesharing with autonomous vehicles. Yue obtained his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and B.A. in Economics from Tsinghua University. Yue is also interested in technologies regarding AI and blockchain. Yue enjoys playing sports, reading and sharing ideas during his spare time.
Xinkai is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at MIT. Xinkai’s research focuses on understanding metal criticality, in terms of the economical, environmental impact and technical limits in material systems. He is also interested in commodities investment, and development in financial technology such as quantitative modeling and cryptocurrencies. He graduated with the highest honor from Nanjing University, with a Physics major. You will most likely find him lifting weights in the gym in his spare time.
Zhen Cao is a Postdoctoral Associate in the Alfredo Alexander-Katz group in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering working on the transport mechanism of lithium ion in polymer electrolytes for battery applications. He obtained his PhD in Polymer Science from the University of Akron in 2017, Master degree from the University of Connecticut, and Bachelor’s degree from Zhejiang University. Zhen is interested in economics, sharing ideas and having fun with his daughter.
Yao worked as a postdoctoral associate in the Picower Institute for Learning and Memory at MIT before his current position in Sanofi Genzyme working on gene therapy for rare diseases. He obtained his PhD in cellular and molecular neuroscience at the University of Tübigen in Germany, and holds an MS and BS both from Huazhong University of Science and Technology. Apart from his interest in biotech and health care entrepreneurship, Yao is also interested in blockchain technology, investment management and algorithmic trading.
